I’m so glad you’re visiting! I am the artist behind Haley B Designs. Let me introduce myself!
First and foremost, I am a child of God, saved by Jesus Christ. I am wife to Jason and “Mommy” to 3 precious little ones, Anne Riley (8), Max (6), and Drake (5). They are my whole world! I grew up in the small Mississippi town of Rolling Fork. Following high school, I attended the University of Southern Mississippi and earned a Bachelor’s in Nursing. After working a few years as a neonatal nurse, I met my prince charming, got married, and began my toughest job thus far… MOTHERHOOD. I have been blessed with the opportunity to stay at home full-time since then. We currently reside just outside of Jackson, MS.
In 2015, we adopted our son, Max, from China. About a year later, I felt God asking me to do more with the artistic gifts He had given me. He had opened my eyes to see what He sees every day, the brokenness and pain taking place all over the world in MILLIONS of orphaned children’s hearts. I had to do something. I could not rest. I believe that God has given all of us unique gifts and abilities, and there’s a reason we have those. Our lives have a purpose here. This is how Haley B Designs began… I started painting to raise money for other adoptive families and orphans. I give God all the credit and praise for the success and opportunities He’s provided for my small business!
I’m a self-taught artist. I’ve never taken an art class and I don’t really know the formal way things are done. I’ve enjoyed painting and creating since I was very young. I use a variety of acrylic paints and texture mediums on both canvas and wood. I paint with brushes and palette knives. I also do some mixed media work, using gold leaf and book pages.
My art inspiration flows from my faith and southern roots. Old hymns, scripture, and worship music are a huge inspiration for me. I love all things vintage and rustic, barns, old churches, farm animals and farm life.
I am grateful you are following my art-faith-journey!
I hope you are blessed by my “God-Story” and inspired to use your talents for a bigger purpose.
